The Economic Development department provides “confidential” project information to CEO’s, presidents, business owners, corporate real estate executives, facility planners and site selection consultants to assist in:

The Economic Development department coordinates projects with the Economic Development Partnership of NC (EDPNC) North Carolina Department of Commerce, NC East Alliance and a wide range of other state, regional and local partners. The EDPNC assigns a Project Manager to companies considering a North Carolina location. The Project Manager will work with the Economic Development department and assist with financing, environmental permits, training opportunities, specific labor demographics and visits to the state.

Crystal Coast Business Park

The 53-acre Crystal Coast Business Park is located in the western end of Morehead City just off US Hwy. 70 on Business Drive. Lot sizes range from 1.02 to 13.78 acres and are zoned Industrial.

The Park, served by numerous freight lines, is less than 6 miles from the Port of Morehead City and Norfolk Southern Rail Service. Duke Energy provides electric service and NC Natural Gas Corp. Telecommunication services are offered by CenturyLink and Time Warner, the Town of Morehead City provides water and sewer provides natural gas.



Jarrett Bay Marine Industrial Park

Business & Industry in Carteret CountyJarrett Bay Marine Industrial Park is a 175-acre park located south of Steel Tank Road (NCSR 1162) and west of NC Highway 101, approximately 6 miles north of the Town of Beaufort. Located adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway with over 2,000 linear feet of waterway frontage, the Park focuses on marine industries and offers lots ranging in size from 1.1 acres to 27.4 acres.

Accommodating the ever-increasing demand for the full-service offerings by Jarrett Bay Boatworks and fellow Park affiliates, the Boatworks company is comprised of eight buildings with a footprint of 125,000 sq. ft. Building space covers 35-acres and is serviced by 50-ton, 75-ton, and 220-ton travel lifts as well as a 40-ton trailer. The Park has a deep boat basin of 300 linear feet, which adjoins the Intracoastal Waterway. The Intracoastal Waterway is maintained at a depth of 12 feet mean low water, and offers direct deep-water access.
